Yes, I can get your posts both in English and Norwegian. We have just returned back from a week away, visiting Venice and then Lake Como, so have not had much email reception. I just received a great load of them when we got back to Montefioralle yesterday. I don’t know why the reception is so bad here in Italy. Had a great trip – Venice is just amazing, what an experience, we stayed at an old “palace” converted to appartments right on a canal in the centre of Venice and kept getting lost. Lake Como is spectacular and we stayed near Bellagio at the tip of the middle section of the lake between the two legs, and took several ferry trips to the various towns and also Como.
We have a couple of quiet days in Montefioralle, and another bus trip into Florence. Then it will be time to pack up and move on, either back home or on to my next adventure for me. We had a bit of a disagreement – Phil wants to drive to Rome on Thursday and stay at a hotel near the airport on Thursday night and return the car on Thursday; I wanted to stay here and leave early on Friday morning to return the car to the airport by 11 am. We would have to leave early in the morning for the drive to the airport, but I thought it would save the hassle of finding a hotel near the airport and worrying about taxis too and from the hotel. But I think Phil is a bit stressed about driving and possible holdups around the airport. So I think I had better stay out of it.
I’ll try to put a couple of posts and photos on Facebook this afternoon.
Sounds like you are in Stavanger already. How is the weather looking for the trip across the North Sea.
